Outset raises Series B to become first AI native customer experience management platform

From our founders

We’re excited to share that Outset has raised our Series B of $30M — less than six months after our Series A — led by Radical Ventures with participation from M12, Microsoft’s venture arm, alongside existing investors 8VC, Y Combinator and Adverb Ventures. This raise comes on the heels of a truly breakout year for our team, with the business growing more than 8x and customers across industries adopting the category we created — AI-moderated research — as the new standard for understanding people.

From the beginning, Outset has been rooted in a simple idea: organizations should be able to listen to the humans they serve. For too long, researchers have had to choose between the depth and speed, or between global reach and real human nuance. We believed AI could change that, and every step of our journey since has reinforced that belief. We’re profoundly grateful to our team, our customers, our community and our backers for helping turn this idea into something that’s reshaping how companies understand people.

We decided to raise this round now because the opportunity ahead is expanding faster than expected. Companies aren’t just looking for better research — they’re reimagining how they listen to customers across the entire journey.

With this funding, we’re able to invest more deeply in the AI-moderated research platform that has made Outset what it is today. We’re also accelerating the launch of the world’s first AI-native Customer Experience Management platform, extending this new research method we pioneered beyond standalone studies and into every touchpoint where insight matters. Imagine knowing what your customer needs most before you even ask. This will give organizations richer context behind every signal, deeper understanding behind every metric, and a continuous, adaptive view of customer needs.

This next chapter is about scale — of our platform, our team of Outsetters, and the impact we can have for organizations everywhere. We’re still just getting started, and we couldn’t be more grateful to build this alongside all of you.
